Sarah Mukasa is a pan Africanist feminist with over 20 years’ experience in leadership and management at senior levels in the not for profit sector in Africa and Europe. Until January 2024 she was the Division Director for Women’s Rights at Open Society-Africa where she led in the development of programs that address gender justice at the intersections of race, ethnicity, age, class, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity.  Sarah also served as the Deputy Director at the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa where  she developed its first ever gender justice strategy and dedicated funding stream.
